When I lived in Pasadeana, I tended to go to places on Lake Ave. (a couple blocks south), because it's less hectic, easier to park, cheaper, etc...

Even though I'm wary of places in old town mi piace serves pretty good italian food at a decent price. I always get the fettucini. My moms likes the bruschetta. Only downside is the service. Thy can be snooty.
