Trastevere [+] — recommended by Dustin Boswell (24 months ago)
1360 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA

Prices are okay. Just don't order too much :)
I can fill up a lot on the bread & garlic/olive dip (mmm).

All their pasta and pizzas are pretty good in my opinion. 3rd street area is also a nice atmosphere to have dinner.

Fritto Misto [+] — recommended by Nick White (24 months ago)

Not a bad place if you're not too picky and want something quick and easy around santa monica. There are some nice options for mix-n-match sauce and pasta. Tends to be busy and loud, however.

Melissa Foucher: Eeks. I got food poisoning there once. But it was good before I threw up :/ 24 months ago
Melody Hanatani: I like their pasta with basil cream sauce. 24 months ago
Alejo Presto Trattoria [+] — recommended by Dustin Boswell (24 months ago)

Great medium-priced hole-in-the-wall Italian place. Very crowded because it's busy and the place is small. I usually order by phone and pick it up.

Dustin Boswell: Also, don't get confused - there's another Alejo's on Lincoln (a mile south). I once ordered there, and went to pick it up at the wrong place. 24 months ago
Antica Pizzeria [+] — recommended by Jerry Liu (24 months ago)
13455 Maxella Avenue, Marina Del Rey, CA
(310) 577-8182
Even though it's located in a strip mall next to a Souplantation, this place has great pizza and pastas. I especially like the Pizza Margherita!

C & O Trattoria [+] — recommended by Melissa Foucher (24 months ago)
31 Washington Boulevard, Marina Del Rey, CA

Two words: Garlic Knots. I would go there just for the garlic knots, fill up on them, then take my meal to go! Also, every half hour everyone in the entire restaurant sings "When the moon hits your eye...." It is fun.

Nick White: Is there any difference between this one and the C&O Cucina a little ways down Washington? 24 months ago
Steve Gerding: I agree that the garlic knots are awesome, but I wasn't really impressed with the actual food. 24 months ago
Dustin Boswell: @Steve: I concur - knots awesome, the rest is okay. But it's a great place to take a big group, because the portions are big and you can pass 'em around, and be drunk and merry. I consider it way better than Bucco-De-Crappo. 24 months ago
Caitlin Lovett: @Dustin: They charge you for splitting dishes now :( If only there was a garlic knot dish.. 24 months ago
Pizzicotto [+] — recommended by Melody Hanatani (24 months ago)
11758 West San Vicente Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA
(310) 442-7188
This place has good risotto and ravioli. Prices aren't too bad - about $15 a person.

Pomodoro Trattoria [+] — recommended by Caitlin Lovett (24 months ago)

Great hole in the wall with dishes around $12. Bread is always warm and the pasta is yummy. Be aware that it is tiny so noise levels can get up there.

I went here the other day. It was very good. They have some unique dishes and sides (like mushroom fries) and delicious macarons at the bakery.

Little Toni's [+] — recommended by Mayra Arreola (22 months ago)
4745 Lankershim Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA

This is almost a landmark in North Hollywood. It burned down a few years back, and it was renovated and reopened due to costumers' support.
